UPDATE: 'Torak' the Wolf has been captured safely and returned back.

Berkshire wolf captured after six hours on the loose - BBC News

ORIGINAL:

Some fallen trees, maybe some tiles blown off the roof. These are the things you tend to associate when high winds hit an area, but like many movies have tried to warn us, wild animals can escape too, and in Reading it's a Wolf that's on the loose. Residents are being urged not to approach it for obvious reasons and a nearby Primary School has a police presence and the kids are being kept inside.
The aim is to tag the animal with a tracker so they can monitor it closely before eventually hitting it with a tranquilliser and returning it back.

I still don't get why people are obsessed with importing non-native wild life for recreational purposes.

Wolfy was recaptured unharmed and is back home in the sanctuary and they now think it may have been freed rather than the wind being the cause of its escape.
