Oh, I should clarify. I live in NYC, but not Manhattan. The crane is in Manhattan. NYC = Brooklyn (where I live), Manhattan and 3 other places not worth mentioning. :leaves:
Wouldn't all the blood and diseases and sewage in the water make it difficult for an electronic to work?
I'm speaking to you now from where Spongebob lives! http://i737.photobucket.com/albums/xx20/ScoobSTi/map_zps254dcdce.png As far as I know, the areas in red on this rubbish map I painted on are flooded. I'm roughly where that green dot is. Some of the red areas I'm not exactly sure are underwater, but they most likely are.
Tanks guise. I'll be fine. I wonder how it's going to be for Leadfoot once it gets up there. Judging by this map, it seems like most of the hurricane is purposely dodging Waftsheasel.
We has some heavyish sideways rain when the bug "arm" of the thing was over us, but nothing too bad. Winds are pretty hectic at the moment though. No power loss, or anything else major so far
Just saw some live footage of what it's like in some areas of NY on the news, looks pretty bad. They said at least 14 people have died so far. Good luck to everyone facing it and I hope you're all doing well.
The videos and live feed stuff I've seen have been pretty cool. I'm guessing they wouldn't be so cool if I lived there though
Wanted to go out around the neighborhood to see what happened, but our Isuzu suffered major damage. The engine starts, but at some times it sounds like it's going to stall, the exhaust pipe is rattling around a lot and there's a strong smell of fuel. We left it in front of our garage during the storm and it seems like that almost took its life. Inside our garage is our relative's car but we can't use it until we somehow move the Isuzu.
