Non - ISP Router
I will have to try and see what my non ISP router gives me compared to my ISP router even though it is a dynalink modem and my non ISP is a DSE modem
Hehe - my ISP router (THomson) had the worst ping ever - made online gaming impossible. Bought a new Netcomm NB6 and problem solved.
haha yeah, I'm actually quite excited to see the difference on things like online gaming. But with this PSN 'outage' debacle, that'll have to wait I've already noticed download speeds are much, much better.
You also chose a server 1300 miles closer to your physical location the second time so it's not really a consistent test.
I think it was a glitch, I did the test again that night and it connected to the closest one to me (Perth) and got pretty much identical stats. So it's as consistent as it can be, I just never bothered changing the picture.
This is what it is at now which is 2:00 am
This is what my wireless connection is at at 2:09 in the afternoon
seems a bit odd
My provider told me that i ll be getting 2Mbps as connection speed
and when i check with this site scanmyspeed.com i got my download speed:1.09Mbps and my upload speed:0.87Mbps...
"Faster than 94% of GB" Nice.
Here's mine. Most epic lan evar.
I'm apparently faster than 97% of the US.
Interet felt super fast today, so I decided to check - I think the result is worth of a thread-bump :aah:
*prepares to run from jealous mob*
Wow thats fast lol
Only problem is that I have nothing that I need to download today
Almost 80 MB/S?! Man that's crazy fast...
I did quite well considering that this is an unlimited plan that I've had for roughly 6 YEARS.
It's NEVER been this fast.
Work is sloooooow. Mind you this is lunchtime. To give you some idea of how bad internet is in the area I work in, this speed is only achievable with a bonded ADSL consisting of 4 lines. lol.
