flick the 'hold' switch on and off. the press the menu and play/pause buttons together, and it will initiate a reset. Then plug it into itunes and start over. i've had to do that about 50 times with my 30gb. and people say Apple is reliable?! BULL! Still nice bit of kit though when it works 90% of the time.

Whoa whoa, craptacular iTunes. It's rubbish on Windows but on OS X it's sound.

OK I see your point. It is craptacular in the environment that you use it.

iTunes indeed works a dream on OSX, i really like it, the music purchasing is expensive, and i dont sync my (non-existent) iPod to it, but the UI is brilliant i find, if you switch on the browser thing (the eye icon at the bottom right next to eject) I find that nothing beats it.

personally i have a 6GB Creative Zen Micro from 2004. b&W screen ftw!

its a nice piece of kit really...

The one thing i hate about ipods is every song i have on it i must have on my PC too which eats up valuable HDD space.
