    Unhappy TDU is dead?

Hello all, this is my first post here on TD, and after browsing this site for a while now, I think this a good place to get help.

Okay, I'll start from the top.

I recently tried to mod my hard copy of TDU, and was really enticed by Milli's newest community pack. I had CP 2.00A installed and Project Paradise getting me online, and I followed all of the instructions, and none of the cars in the pack showed up. That's not why I'm posting though. I then uninstalled the pack, and got my backup files up and running. I should mention that I had gotten my hands on the Megacarpack through an .exe installer (I was told that it was legal as Atari doesn't even sell the thing anymore.) I had recently purchased the Dodge Challenger R/T (a car from the megapack), but when I booted up the game, it was the Eden car. I tried using the .exe installer to re-install all of the .bnk files, but it kept saying that my version was already updated. I eventually freaked out, deleted my back up, removed the game from x86 drive and even deleted the Atari directory all together along with all mods so that my hard drive was devoid of enything related to TDU. I then tried to uninstall the game from my control panel, but it kept showing a dialogue box with "Error 1316, The specified account already exists." I then when into the files from the disk drive and found the Windows installer program which led me to the uninstallation. Unfortunately, the uninstall process is kind of frozen. I then looked at the files on the disk and realized that there was no Euro file on the disk. I am heartbroken, and want to know if I've killed my game and will never be able to play it again, or if I can do something to salvage it.

Nothing to technical (if that's even possible), I'm not the best tech whiz there is.

You can get any TDU copy in internet and just use your serial key to install it.

Everything is fixeable. And if it works as an advice, the pack i gathered is not compatible with patch 2.00a. Only 1.68b.

Installation is not "easy" as i though, so i plan to fix that in the next update, which will be a much easier installation.

Thanks Milli. But that's another problem. I can't seem to find a safe download link for 1.68b. I've tried links in the official thread and all they do is take me to a Dropbox 404. Would you happen to know where I can still get it without having to trek to some shady sites?

EDIT: Forgot to ask, can I recreate the game with .mdf files and a virtual drive, and still have access to mods?

Yes i believe so. And i also believe that ig you install the Ultra Community Pack it will automatically install patch 1.68. But that is not a 100% sure thing as i have never tested.

Okay thanks, however I think I'll stay away from downloading the UCP until I find a safe download link or you can confirm the pack installs the patch. I don't want this to happen again. Thanks anyway!

I won't confirm anything. UCP v1.04 is an old thing. I am working on the update.

Hi, if you want to remove all your files related to TDU or any other software, use " Revo uninstaller " (free), and use glary utilities/CCleaner then restart your computer, tadaaa!
