It's fun, hold in the downshift paddle, watch it drop 5 gears and then whooooosh away.

What makes you think that? Because I don't tell everyone about it or upload boring dashcam videos of me driving to pick up some milk?

As far as my British automotive lingo goes, the CLS is not that.

Well it's not the most nimble is it so it's barge'ness is warranted.

I'm sure that can be arranged

My comment wasn't directed at you btw, I've watched your dashcams before and enjoyed them.

Depends how you class it, these days I've seen people class any saloon as a barge...

I could go into the whole 'classing system', but that'd be derailing the thread.

I could agree on barge-ness. Even though it has a Sport suspension mode and (according to manufacturer) should do 0-100 km/h in 6 seconds, it still weighs over 1700 kg, it's wide and long, and in term of overall size impression it almost feels like I'm driving a low SUV compared to the 202 I had.

I do have to add that at Merc they really know how to position arm rests for the most relaxed seating possible

Hells yes. Our Lexus was so bad in comparison, I'm sure some poor engineer spent years figuring out arm rest positioning
