    Default Little red dot

Lately there's this little red dot at the top left corner of my screen.
When it appears frames drop to a steady 25 from a steady 40 odd.
    Any info on that?

That will be when you hit the record button on your filming pictures

If you go into your photo thread, the pictures with the red dot mean you're filming. I mean it even looks like a recording icon ...

what software you using to display the FPS?
    Life is good. Simples. Cccchhhhh.

I know Xfire has a recording option, which displays a red button in the upper left hand corner when recording.
