    new video for gamescom

I'll give it a go but it's not exactly my cup of Irn Bru, and I'm expecting most of the online players/audience to be a bit frustrating

It's a nicer way of saying your user title for example

Looks like fun and we'll get a cockpit camera (it seems). Bad thing is that it's going to be a P2W

Well I assume you picked it... (and I'm using it to describe most of the randoms I expect to end up racing on a free game)

Do you really think it's gonna be that bad because it is free? Maybe yes because I'll find you and will keep crashing into you. If the 'frustrating' kids won't bump to me first.

Since it is made by SMS, what do people people think about it on WMD forums? Just being curious.

Well the contract to make this game gave SMS more money and car licenses to put into Project CARS... so we're pretty supportive of it. Most people are mature enough to know that there is a market for both sim and arcade racing games

My earlier comments were generally based on my limited experience playing NFS World when it first came out.

And what exactly was the difference again between World of Speed and pCars? It might be because I'm not following these games but my current impression is ''why not merge the content, the games look the same anyway...''. Is it less simulatorish for a wider audience? Is the freeware/payware concept different? Is it less demanding on systems?

No kicking at the jewels, just a question of simple interest.

WoS is an arcade racer like, for example, Burnout, whereas pCARS is a simulator. A real racing simulator that you'd want to buy a wheel for. Simple

A Russian company requested SMS to make WoS, so that company is pulling the decision strings. Expect kids with laptops to play. Think NFS World.

pCARS is a SMS's own game - them doing everything they've wanted to do for the past 10 years, guided by the community. Expect new consoles and high-end gaming rigs to be the popular choice (need a beefy CPU for all those real time physics calculations, and GPU for all the eye candy).

WoS has benefited from using the same Madness engine + tweaks made for pCARS. pCARS has benefited from getting some car licenses from WoS. (The injection of income from the Russian company has also helped).

Yeah it's certainly less sim than Project CARS as there would be little point having two of the same games that provide the exact same gameplay.
    I'm a bit mental.
