For me, the heavy emphasis on the stupid storyline, avatars, voiceacting and terrible car physics, utterly boring races and their non-existent replay value killed the game for me.
I wish they'd kept most of the stuff simple, not taking too much away from the driving and making it more fun and enjoyable. This is also one of the main reasons why I'm back to TDU1, starting from scratch.

Thread: Bored with TDU2 already. Why?

Its been 3 weeks since TDU2 has decided to not work for me...
I paid for the game, I have all updates everything. I go online and on the main map screen I see online users, I click on someone to join and all I get in the end is AI Drivers.

That sucks - but at the same time I recall you saying you never liked playing TDU1 online (not that it changes anything)

Nah, TDU1 online got boring due to me modding it like crazy, everytime someone saw me they would assume I had a modded car on it. Those types of things.. Anyways doesn't matter.

TDU2's Online isn't even old, the game is fairly new and still can't go online properly.

I'm not bored with TDU2 and will continue to play it for a loooonng time yet.
However it hasn't had the same effect as TDU did and all just feels a bit tired (for want of a better word) and done.
Nothing is really that new or different from what I've been used to. It just feels like I've done everything before. Nothing has really given the "fizz" (ref. James May) like I got in the first.
That said though, I'm still really enjoying the game, and I've not even done anything online yet... and thats what made the first game.
The glitches sometimes really aggravate me, but I don't find it hard to get past them.
Infact I'm more than happy to get over them because if I quite now, I'd be missing out on so much. I can't wait to see what Eden do to improve and add to the game, just as long as it not all cars in the DLC this time.
Love the game.

And why oh why have they taken out so much from the original.
All the nice options in the car (moving seat, chronopack)
I said i was happy with winamp in the background but the originals soundtrack seemed a lot ... beefier and customization made it even better.
The perfect finish prize like Diablo said
What ever happened to drafting????
Why is tuning in the world of TDU 2 made of spending top dollar for a chiptuning getting you extra 15 hp on level 4?? TDU1 tuning options were a lot better than this sad excuse.
Ibiza is modelled well, roadsurface is mostly smooth but Hawaii is just as crappy as the TDU1 model. Every elevation change comes with a sharp edge where your car bottoms out or goes airborne. The fact that car suspension is hardly simulated does not help with this issue.
You have all the minuses compared to the old game, you have a host of new glitches and peple complaining about them messing up the flags of all things?!
People finder on the map should have a lot more options too.
Plus the whole experience is not really new as it is mostly the same game as the old. And why did they not keep the old car list and add the new ones on top - Lamborghini of course since that is not a driving game worthy car. It is a good thing there is a DACIA Sandero fan club tho :|
Despite all that this game is still a ton of fun. Last night i revisited the hillclimb of the Hawaii cup comparing the Zonda and the Bugatti. Amazing good fun, getting consistent times was a blast plus I made 20k cash on every run. Seing the differences between these cars was an excellent eye opener too.
